Cost Effective Cleaning

How Ultrasonic cleaning works

The technical stuff!

Ultrasonic cleaning is the complete removal of contaminants from objects by immersion into a cleaning agent. High frequency sound waves are passed through the cleaning agent, creating a "scrubbing brush" effect. The process is initiated by the generation of high frequency electrical energy. This energy is converted by a transducer into high frequency sound waves known as ultrasonic energy.

High frequency Sound Waves

The efficiency and cleaning time achieved through the cleaning cycle in an ultrasonic cleaning system, is derived, from the quality of the transducers. At Purrus we work intensively with our transducer suppliers to ensure that all are perfectly tuned. We work in a synergistic manner with our cleaning solutions to deliver an environmentally friendly solution that uses the minimum amount of the world's valuable resources.

Cleaning Fluid

As the high frequency sound waves, generated by the transducer, enter the cleaning fluid, the energy generated causes the rapid formation and collapse of minute bubbles. This phenomenon is known as cavitation. Bubbles travel rapidly throughout the cleaning fluid. Once contact with an object is made, the bubbles implode releasing an enormous amount of energy, it's this energy transfer, from the bubble, to the surface of the object, that gently releases any contamination.

The Purrus Difference

Our passion for ultrasonic cleaning has ensured that, we at Purrus are, constantly applying our expert knowledge of materials and the fundamentals of the ultrasonic cleaning process such as transducer tuning, cleaning solvents selection, ensuring that we consistently deliver environmentally friendly, timely and cost effective cleaning solutions to customers in a simple, no nonsense manner.

This why we are ‘The Ultrasonic Cleaning People’
